You know it’s been a good day when at the end of it you realize there wasn’t time (or inclination) to look at the news since the breakfast read. Although I’m sure I could make some reasonable guesses, I don’t know what’s going on specifically in the wide world and for now, I’m just dandy with that. It’s somewhat tempting to click on the WP and the HP to give them a quick peruse but I’m going to resist the temptation and will trust that whatever might (or might not) be making the headlines will (or won’t) still be up in the morning.
There are some things from the day that I’d like to expound upon, but I’m going to hold off so I can do them justice and will send this postcard-ish length letter since it’s late for me and I’m tired. I hope you’re tired too and don’t have the energy to devote to your usual world-tilting Tweet-storming – we all need a major break from you and your diablerie.
In case you’re wondering, I found the word “diablerie” when I was looking for a word that captures malign mischief, which “diablerie” does pretty well….
1. reckless mischief
archaic: sorcery supposedly assisted by the devil.
May we be safe from our POTUS’s diablerie.
May we be willing to insulate ourselves from his malign mischief.
May we keep ourselves and one another healthy and strong.
May we accept that we need to take breaks from the mayhem occasionally.
